Day 4, Mt. Gilboa

As we travel to our next stop the tour guide stops our bus and informs us that this is Mt. Gilboa, and that where we see the side of the ridge having been mined away was the site of the fateful battle between the forces of King Saul and the Philistines. I asked our guide if there was any kind of a historic marker or memorial to mark the site of the battle and of the death of Israel’s first king, and our guide informs me that there is not.
